You are willing to give up what you are for the sake of what you can become.

In so doing, you flourish and thrive.

I search for the truth from some source external, and I endure the suffering of the struggle.

You encourage me to seek the truth from within,
from the only real source.

You are always there in your comfortable knowledge,
wanting only the best for me.

I struggle to find my own path.

Your loving presence gives me courage
to grow through the pain and
gives me hope that I, too,
may feel the peace and happiness you know.

Like the butterfly, you are comfortable and free.
I admire you, and respect you, and love you.
